The most important people in your life are together on /this/ special occasion. They immediately become just as important to me. I want to know details of who is who and make them feel loved and included. My role as your photographer and documentarian goes beyond the click of a shutter. it is providing an experience for everyone involved.
I believe your unique love story is part of your legacy and it's my honor to document it. It's the dining room tales you'll tell until your old age; The moment you had with your little brother before walking down the aisle. The hug you shared with your grandma. The panic over your officiant being stuck in traffic and the happy sign of relief when they arrive. Catching your breath as you say your vows. Laughing yourself to tears at your maid of honor's speech. These are the moments I live to shoot. Weddings look different now, but my care and approach is the same. Whether you're planning a black tie affair, destination wedding or an intimate wedding in your back yard, I want to be there.
philosophy
My approach is story-telling & documentary style, meaning I capture things as they unfold. watching & waiting for those micro-moments among the big ones. A supportive fly-on-the-wall that sees it all; noticing your mom needs some water, your makeup needs a touch-up after a few hours of happy tears, a snack will make you happy, or the flower girl is feeling overwhelmed and needs a break. I will also make sure your other vendors and I are on the same team! When it comes to portraits, I cover all the standard images, and then let your candid love unfold into sweet moments. I offer gentle coaching while leaving room for your personality to shine through. I'm not going to assign you a way to behave with each other. you do you, as the kids say. For family formals, we're gonna snap the traditional images, but then I'll have everyone look at each other and hug. I want the emotion ! My all time favorite images, I find, are in-between moments. The ones I could never stage, because they're once in a lifetime instances. Those are the photos I want to give you on your wedding day.

Alicia is the real deal. On the day of, she went above and beyond. She was great with easing the anxiety of having your photo taken (my husband and I never had our photos professionally taken before). She was wonderful with our dogs, And knew exactly what to do to get the photo. Then, surprised us with an AMAZING framed photo at our reception (which meant she turned it around and had it printed and present at the reception the same day of photographing us) I highly recommend her for your big day. Hands down the best.

I searched for months to find our wedding photographer. This was one of the most important parts of our wedding, and I wanted to have a great photographer we could rely on and do an amazing job capturing our day. If you get the honor of having your wedding shot by Alicia then you just lucked out scoring the best wedding photographer of all time. I met Alicia while modeling in LA (she was the photographer). Because this is my career, I’ve worked with over 100 different photographers and she is by far the best I’ve ever worked with. I had my sister hire her for her wedding last summer as well. Her composition, camera and lighting knowledge makes every photo gorgeous. Add in the eye for color and editing, and the fast shooting style that captures all the best moments and you have hundreds of incredibly beautiful photos to choose from. Not to mention she is a genuinely kind and fun human being and can make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and gives just enough direction to guide you through the day. She is a busy gal, so you may wait a little bit for your photos but it’s worth ending up with the complete gold you’re given.

I cannot say emphasize this enough nor can words properly describe how amazing not only is Alicia to work with so are her work/photographs. We stumbled upon her after seeing her work featured on a blog from someone who got married in the same city/venue as us and fell in love with those photos. We ended up booking her for both our engagement session and for our wedding and are so unbelievably glad we did. Her work is truly incredible, stunning, creative, and beautiful. She is also truly a pleasure to work with...she is fun, personable, was open to our ideas and things we wanted but also great about providing her own suggestions and ideas.
